Adios America, Hola Hong Kong

We've made it to San Francisco yesterday. Our flight was delayed due to the storms that hit Monday morning, but we made it just in time. We stayed at Hotel Kabuki (I guess Peace Corps thought that would be fitting as a first stop). Staging went well. They were able to keep things entertaining, instead of 7 hours of tons of details. Most of what we will learn will be taught in country at training, so they just covered safety, travel need-to-knows, and gave us opportunities to learn about each other.

After Staging, Daniel and I headed to the streets of San Francisco. They are sooo steep! We were able to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the Fishermans Wharf. We even found a really cool antique video arcade. Some of the games were from the 1930's and still worked!

Now we are in the SFO Airport. We leave for Hong Kong in about an hour. Please pray that our flight is comfortable and quick. (At least feel quick, it's actually a 15 hour flight!). And please pray for the calmness and eagerness of all the volunteers. So far, this group looks like a good one, and I think the next 10 weeks of training will be a blast.

Miss you all and you'll be in our prayers too!!

Paige
