Settling In

Three weeks in and we are starting to feel like we know this place. Seeing jilbabs (head coverings) everywhere doesn’t faze us. In fact, we don’t even see the difference whether a woman is wearing one or not. Paige has made it through an entire week of sleeping through the 4 am call to prayer. And the call to prayer throughout the day is barely heard now. Watching TV, we’re starting to understand what is being said and here about world events. Sorry to hear about the weather and fires back home. Hope all are safe. This weekend we finally have both Saturday and Sunday to explore and study. Today we plan to visit a local waterfall. Thank you for all of your prayers. Love, Daniel and Paige.
Only in Indonesia (OII):
  1. You can have Fried Chicken for Breakfast and it be normal.
  2. Will you see an older man using the restroom in public at a major University campus.

We used to see people use the park for a restroom in Costa Rica but not here in Mexico...thank goodness! Fried chicken for breakfast??? Yummy! James would love that:)

Looks like you are settling in well, we continue to pray for you both.
